Frontline 'safe' so far says LGA

The axe is falling on central services and management costs in local government cuts, rather than frontline services, according to a survey by the Local Government Association.

More than half the councils surveyed (57%) said they would protect adult social care, and nearly two-thirds (63%) were protecting children's social care.
