There is ‘no sign' of the higher fuel prices reported over the last month ‘significantly dropping', the chief executive of the Association for Public Service Excellence (APSE) has warned councils.

An APSE survey found rising fuel costs driven by tensions in the Middle East were adding pressure to council budgets, with more than a quarter of respondents considering the impact of recent fuel price increases on their local authority to be ‘very significant'.
