Local authority pension funds have shifted their campaign to force News Corp to appoint an independent chairman to the United States.
A joint motion filed by the Local Authority Pension Fund Forum (LAPFF) and the US shareholders' group, the Christian Brothers Investment Services, will be voted on at the company's annual general meeting in Los Angeles on 16 October.
