Harlow DC has set up a £1m Big Society Fund to help support popular services, and has invited local voluntary groups and businesses to submit plans for running the town's discretionary services such as the playhouse, museum, paddling pools, bandstand and arts events.

A major conference is to be held to discuss the plans on Friday, 22 July.
