Professional fundraisers have urged councils to work with them in order to find solutions to perceived problems with ‘chuggers' collecting in town centres.

In its response to Lord Hodgson's review of the 2006 Charities Act, the Public Fundraising Regulatory Association (PFRA) said the Government should encourage local authorities to work with the organisation and ‘co-regulate face-to-face fundraising'.
