A £100m Whitehall fund designed to local support charities, voluntary groups and social enterprises hit by public spending reductions has been opened for applications.
The Cabinet Office's ‘Transitional Fund' has been set up to help third sector organisations heavily reliant on public funding, and which have an annual turnover of between £50,000 and £10m, to restructure themselves so they can cope with public spending reductions over the next four years.
