Councils and community groups will play a key role in a £1bn plan to get young people back into work. Work and pensions secretary, Yvette Cooper, revealed the Government was set to roll out the scheme to recruit for jobs such as sports coaches and environment officers. Up to 200 councils are likely to be involved.
