Suffolk CC's senior management wage bill has been cut by more than £1m over the last 18 months, according to new data.

Latest figures released by the county show the bill falling from £7m to £5.9m – and it is set to drop by a further £1.4m as 15 more managers prepare to leave. That would reduce the number of local staff earning £58,200 or more annually from 64 to 49 by the end of 2012.
