Norfolk County Services (NCS), which is wholly owned by Norfolk CC, has won a £27m contract to build six fire stations and refurbish five more in Suffolk. The work will be carried out by the Land Group consortium, of which NCS is a part. The PFI deal between Suffolk CC and the Land Group was signed earlier this month, and work is expected to start shortly. ‘Once again, NCS has proven that it has got what it takes to successfully compete against the biggest names in business to provide excellent, value-for-money facilities management services,' said NCS director, Tony Williams. ‘By working together in an innovative way with public and private sector partners, NCS offers unique value to the marketplace through its many partnership arrangements to provide an offer that is hard to beat.'
