The Government has announced that 328 local authorities are to be awarded £316m to encourage business growth. The money will be made available through the local authority business growth incentive scheme (LABGI). ‘LABGI provides substantial rewards for local authorities which encourage business growth in their areas,' said local government minister, Phil Woolas.
