~Glasgow City Council~ is nearing completion of a three-year restructuring plan which is estimated to save up to £8m a year by streamlining administration and establishing a new shared service centre. The city council is the largest local authority in Scotland, with a budget of £2.3bn, and employs 40,000 people serving a population of 600,000.
