Council tax collection rates at Gloucester City Council have hit a record 97.3%, according to the latest set of financial figures. Business rates collection has also been good, with a total of 97.47% collected by the local authority.

‘The real story is the fabulous performance by the team and the critical part it plays in the efficiency and effectiveness of the organisation,' said cabinet member for resources, Cllr Fred Wood.
