One of local government's biggest trade unions has urged its members to support proposed pension changes ahead of a crucial ballot on the future of the Local Government Pension Scheme (LGPS).

Hundreds of thousands of GMB members working across local authorities will receive ballot papers from 23 July, with the result to be released on 17 August.
