A public inquiry into Donald Trump's controversial plans for a £1bn golf resort in Aberdeenshire will begin in June. A preliminary hearing for the inquiry held in Aberdeen last week set the start date as 10 June, and it is expected to be completed by 4 July. The inquiry, sparked by Aberdeenshire Council's decision to refuse planning permission for the resort, will be heard at Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre and conducted by Scotland's most experienced planning inquiry reporter, James McCulloch. Around 30 witnesses are expected to be called, including up to 10 by the Trump Organisation.
