Urgent action is needed to fix a ‘broken' children's social care system and give all young people the future they deserve, the chair of the Commons Education Committee has said.

Launching a report today on the state of children's social care in England, Helen Hayes said it was a ‘moral failure' that thousands of young people leaving care ‘are being left to face homelessness, unemployment or barriers to education'.
