St Helens MBC has given the green light to a new £36m Pilkington glass coating factory, which will create 50 jobs.
The council's cabinet member for urban regeneration, Cllr Andy Bowden, said the new plant was a ‘huge vote of confidence' in the area and strengthened the long-term future of glass production in St Helen's.'
