The Local Government Group this week launched a 90-day consultation into its proposed new structure, which could see a halving of jobs by next April.
The shake-up is in response to a 38% reduction in top-slice funding over the next four years, together with an expected 13% cut in membership subscriptions and 10 councils already on notice to leave from next April.
