The DCLG should expand its remit to cover all local government functions, according to Local Government Association Conservative group leader, Gary Porter.
Speaking at a fringe event at the Conservative Party conference in Birmingham this week, the leader of South Holland DC, said: ‘I think the DCLG should grow, not contract... to cover everything local government does.'
