Lewisham mayor, Steve Bullock, has paid tribute to Polish care worker, Magda Pniewska, who was shot dead last week. ‘The death of Ms Pniewska is a terrible tragedy and her family and loved ones have suffered a dreadful loss,' he said. ‘They should be in our thoughts and prayers. ‘We must redouble our efforts to prevent further tragedies. We need action to stop the supply of guns and, most importantly, targeted action by the police against these criminals.'
