Diary was disappointed to hear that Leeds City Council has bowed to budgetary pressures and cancelled its bonfire and firework events.
Or at least the council has claimed it is a lack of cash that has put the kybosh on the annual autumnal shindig. After all, Catherine Wheels and Roman Candles do not come cheap.
