One of Parliament's foremost local government experts, Andy Sawford MP, has launched a private members' bill designed to tackle the scourge of employment agencies ripping-off local workforces.

Mr Sawford, the Labour MP for Corby, wants to extend the powers of the Gangmasters Licensing Authority to enable it to regulate a wider range of employment agencies in the catering and agricultural sector.
