Hampshire CC has launched a scheme to address high levels of youth unemployment among those leaving care.
Involving a 12-month paid internship at the county council, 19 young people have signed on to Internship Plus – a £600,000-funded initiative which involves a four-day preparatory course run by the University of Winchester's lifelong learning team.
