The Department of Health has awarded a £3m grant to the Hartlepool BC-led bid to build 60 care apartments for older people. The joint bid with Housing Hartlepool, Hartlepool Primary Care Trust and developer Frank Haslam Milan includes plans for the homes to be rented, bought outright or shared ownership.
