Head of Children's Services - Powys

Head of Children's Service - Powys

As broad as the valleys,

As high as the hills

Now that's real scope.

Head of Children's Services £71,390 to £77,690

Your quality of life is the first thing that will change with a move to Powys.

In an area known as the green heart of Wales, you'll be surrounded by history and natural beauty. But while our environment is peaceful, this certainly isn't a role for someone who wants to take it easy. As our Head of Children's Services, you'll be instrumental in building on the strength of the service and taking us forward as we progress our reclaiming social work journey. This is a fantastic opportunity to work with committed staff and partners to improve outcomes for children, young people and their families and make a real difference to their lives.

As part of our restructured senior leadership team, you'll implement the new Council's commissioning operating model. To succeed you'll need to demonstrate a strong track record of delivery, partnership working, be an excellent communicator, and champion for vulnerable children, families and the service, as well as being able to lead in very challenging times.
