Head of Democratic and Legal Services South West Surrey Starting salary from £53,284 to £59,551 per annum

Reporting to the Chief Executive, you will be a key member of our senior management team, contributing to corporate planning and strategy. You will be coming to an authority that is well known for its ‘can do' approach and excellent service delivery.

A qualified solicitor and/or administrator with management and local government experience and a comprehensive knowledge and experience of legal and democratic matters affecting local government, you will be responsible for the leadership and operation of our Democratic and Legal Services, including:

· Council, Executive and Committee support

· Member Support Services

· Licensing Services

· Legal Services

· Land Charges

We are looking for someone who is an energetic self-starter, who is genuinely committed to local government and democracy. This is an immensely rewarding role in a dynamic and innovative Council.
