Fenland District Council is officially rated an excellent council. We have been a regular MJ Award finalist over recent years and winner of three MJ awards in 2010 and we were the first council to achieve Customer Service Excellence for the whole organisation. We are located in an attractive and important growth area between Cambridge and the East coast.

The Council is committed to sustainable housing growth in Fenland aligned to increased economic activity and improved infrastructure. to deliver this bold vision for the future we are well advanced on an exciting neighbourhood planning vision, which includes our innovative emerging Core Strategy, and we have been congratulated on using such a successful and ground breaking approach.

We currently require an experienced Planning professional to lead our Neighbourhood Strategy, Development Management, Compliance, building contro and Technical support staff to continue to develop a 'one team' place shaping approach. This high profile role will require considerable energy and flexible thinking. We are seeking an influential leader who is solution driven and committed to continuous improvement.
