Head of Economic Growth

This is a great opportunity ….. help us to shape our future

Redcar and Cleveland is a Borough of great diversity. Not many realise we have outstanding natural landscapes, proud industrial heritage and amazing people. We are an economic powerhouse, with world-class industries and billions of investment coming to the area. We need to broaden our economic mix and ensure our children and young people get the best start in life. As a Council we have been delivering a massive improvement programme with more initiatives underway. We have some exciting opportunities to make a real and lasting difference.

We believe that we have the economic assets and opportunities to ensure more people are in work, that our businesses can grow and investment comes to the area. We are looking for someone with real talent! We are already delivering ambitious projects and services but want to do more.

We are looking for someone who has the drive and leadership qualities to work with all our partners to help reposition our economy. If you feel capable of this challenge we would love to hear from you.

To find out more please contact Ian Wardle, Director of Regeneration Services, 01642 444258 or see our recruitment micro site at this link.

Closing date for both posts: 11th May 2012.
