Head of Fixed Assets

Head of Fixed Assets.

This is your opportunity to show clear senior leadership in this strongly performance-driven Head of Service position. Your role will be to formulate and deliver the maximization of the social and economic benefit of our assets while continuously improving the performance of your service portfolio and staff on behalf of Luton's 204,000 citizens.

Making an important contribution to the development of the town and the authority, especially in terms of asset transformation, cultural change and organisational development, you will be delivering an integrated service that goes beyond the effective provision of fixed assets to and into actual transformation of the service itself.

To succeed you need to be an inspiring and visible leader who is prepared to look beyond the organisation to achieve goals, especially with regards to commissioning and procurement. An astute problem solver and decision maker, you have the clarity of vision and purpose to lead change and drive performance.

These qualities are supported by a clear track record of delivery at senior management level, with substantial experience of the strategic management of transformation programmes, operational performance and financial budgets. A firm grasp of equality issues and legislation is essential, as is substantial experience of working with a broad range of partners and stakeholders from the private sector, community and government.
