Head of Local Resilient Communities

up to £85K with PRP Ref: CE1419

You'll drive our new Localism framework, to ensure that local people are involved actively in the key decisions which aff ect their lives. As the interface between local service providers, community groups and local businesses, you will facilitate and co-ordinate a range of actions so that locally delivered services are adapted to meet local needs and expectations. You will also play a vital part in facilitating the introduction of Community Budgets and the growth of social capacity, as we integrate provision on the ground and increase self-sufficiency.

This attractive role calls for strong commissioning, leadership and organisational skills. You will have a high level of commercial acumen and a proven track record of building eff ective relationships – particularly with elected Members to support them as Community Leaders, as well as with town and parish councils. Successful experience of large scale engagement and network building with a wide range of stakeholders will be vital.

Head of Investment and Planning

up to £70K with PRP Ref: CE1421

As the leader of a new team driving forward our ambitious plans on Economic Growth and Prosperity, you'll make a major contribution to the future shape of our strong local economy. You will up the pace of delivery of new employment and housing sites, unlock development through combining public and private sector funding, and harness the value of our substantial asset based resources in bold and imaginative ways.

Working closely with the Local Enterprise Partnership (LEP), business leaders, HE institutions, colleges and local schools, you will design and implement frameworks which guarantee that the right skills,sites and infrastructure are in place to deliver our ambitious growth agenda.

The role calls for outstanding interpersonal skills, a high level of credibility with senior business people, and a successful track record of turning entrepreneurial thinking into sound, tangible results at pace.
