Head of Planning & Sustainability - Wycombe District Council

Head of Planning & Sustainability Up to £83k

We're eager to hear new ideas that have the potential to make a lasting impact on the wellbeing and prosperity of our district. As one of the largest district councils in the UK, we have significant projects already underway, from our town centre masterplan to our new leisure centre.

Supporting the effective delivery of these ambitious projects will be key but you will also look to the future and lead on the development of a new Local Plan and ensure we respond appropriately to the National Planning Policy Framework.

Supporting local economic growth and attracting inward investment while protecting our district's enviable natural heritage demands a sophisticated and nuanced approach to planning policy, so it's important you can offer the professional and personal gravitas to advise and challenge how we do things.

We expect you'll already be a senior planning professional, with a track record in seeing strategies and projects from ideas to implementation. A strong presence within and beyond your own organisation, you should be able to influence and negotiate while presenting strong leadership skills.

Visit www.wycombeplanning.co.uk for more information or contact Steve Guest at SOLACE Enterprises on 0845 601 0649 for a confidential discussion.

Closing date: 17 September.
