In dealing with our challenges the Council seeks to achieve unprecedented financial savings against a background of increasing demand for services. In doing this, the Council is committed to protecting the vulnerable and needy and to protect jobs and services on which our community relies. We believe that Tameside can thrive best if we maintain and develop a strong local economy.
