It is morally wrong for professional head's of schools to walk out in protest over changes to pension arrangements. It is self-evident that changes need to be made & the current pension provision is unaffordable & unsustainable.Public sector strikes are not going to change that basic fact one jot!The only people who will suffer are school kids who will lose days in school & working parents who will need to make alternative arrangements for child care - striking is pointless, short sighted & frankly morally unacceptable in these circumstances. When the sort of pension deals available in the public sector again become available in the commercial sector (which pays for public sector salaries) we can think again, but until that utopia arrives then well paid senior public servants should think carefully before downing tools!
