The London boroughs of Barking and Dagenham and Hillingdon have signed contracts to build new homes as part of the Government's Affordable Rent programme.
Under the contract agreements with the Homes and Communities Agency (HCA), Barking and Dagenham will receive an £18.3m grant to build 762 homes, while Hillingdon will be given £3.4m to deliver 225 units.
