Essex CC was awarded Veolia Environmental Services an eight-year contract to manage household recycling centres in the area.
The deal sees the firm adding 10 sites to the 21 other facilities it already manages in southern Essex.It will also operate five new waste transfer stations in Braintree, Chelmsford, Colchester, Great Dunmow and Harlow.
