A Norwich City Council housing boss has been suspended on full pay, after allegedly moving into a vacant council property on reduced rent. The authority has launched an investigation after it was revealed that a number of its staff – including Kristine Reeves, the council's head of neighbourhood and strategic housing services – moved into vacant properties at low rents after frail and elderly tenants were evicted. A council spokesman said: ‘Ms Reeves has been suspended on full pay, pending the completion of an internal investigation into the use by staff of decommissioned sheltered housing properties.' Ms Reeves, 38, played a key role in the decision, last March, to re-house more than two dozen pensioners from the sheltered housing scheme prior to the site's redevelopment to provide new affordable housing.
