Housing Strategy Manager

37 hours per week. We are currently recruiting for a Housing Strategy Manager to work for Bromsgrove and Redditch Councils in Worcestershire within a new shared service. As a member of the Strategic Housing Team, you will be responsible for management of both the Housing Strategy and Enabling Team and the Private Sector Housing Team.

The role will be to manage the Housing Strategy and Enabling and Private Sector Housing Teams focusing on transforming and continuing to improve the service. You will be required to provide high level strategic advice to the Director, Head of Service and the Council on all aspects of housing strategy and policy development, including responding to legislative changes, government initiatives, surveys and preparation of policy and strategy briefings.

The candidate will ideally need to be educated to degree level or equivalent and have a housing related professional or academic qualification and have experience of working in a management role. You will have proven experience in housing policy and strategy, up to date knowledge of policy developments and modern housing strategies and have proven experience in performance management and improvement.
