Local authority creditors have received a further £51m payment from administrators of the failed Icelandic bank, Landsbanki.

The latest cash-tranche brings the total returned from Landsbanki to £170m, and the amount retrieved from all four failed Icelandic banks to £645m – almost two-thirds of the amount deposited, with more repayments due.
