TV presenter, Jeremy Clarkson, isn't a name which normally comes up in conversation around the local government dinner table. But, last week, an invitation for dinner with Mr Clarkson caused wild cheers at a public space conference in London.
Some of you may know about the Ashford shared space ring road scheme. Basically, it got rid of barriers between cars, pedestrians and cyclists. Enter the usual outcry from certain groups, including Mr Clarkson – who claimed the move would result in ‘millions' of deaths.
