I know, it is a long way off and you have groaning in-trays already. But 4 February 2026 is the deadline for the ONS' consultation on topics to be included in the 2031 census for England and Wales.
Planning for a census is many years in the making and, first and foremost, we need to make sure the topics we ask about reflect the needs of our users and wider society.
