"A sustainable public sector" was the Chancellor's phrase for the spending review this afternoon. Good phrase, makes you think. Makes me think of Cicero, who said "The more you use it, the less you can use it. What is more foolish, if you want to do something than to make yourself incapable of doing it for long?".
