Creation of the first-ever London local government insurance company has been given the go-ahead. The London Regional Centre of Excellence (LRCE) has approved £115,000 to set up the guaranteed insurance mutual, which will be owned by participating authorities and is open to all London boroughs, the Corporation of London and the Greater London Authortiy.
