Excellent performance by Bob Summers as chair of CIPFA's Pensions Panel on the Today programme this morning. Brought on to discuss the budget's likely impact on public sector pensions, he blew John Humpreys off course straight away by pointing out that the BBC is part of the public sector.Bob is, as I write, the Today prog's main story with his soundbite that a CTax freeze will lead to "intense prioritisation of services"; which is a bootiful way for the ex Norfolk CC treasurer to put it.
