Cheshire East Council's interim chief executive has agreed to remain in post until March 2013.

Kim Ryley was set to retire from Shropshire Council on 30 November, when his secondment from the county was due to finish. But Cheshire East Council announced last week that Mr Ryley had been employed on an extra temporary contract.
