Pay for interim managers has risen to an average £685 a day, according to a new survey. The study, of almost 1,300 executives working on fixed-term contracts, found their daily rate had risen by £100 since 2004, and almost one in five interims now worked in the public sector. The respondents predicted that local and central government would remain buoyant sectors in the 2007 financial year, and half expected to earn more than £100,000 a year. Jeremy Finch, managing director of Praxis Executive, said: ‘Despite the apparently high cost of employing an interim manager, organisations in both the public and private sectors continue to find them value for money.'
