Local government contractor Interserve has announced an 8.3% increase in pre-tax profits.
The firm's half-year results for the six months to the end of June revealed the firm landed more than £1.4bn of new works, which include a £146m contract with Virdor to design and build a recycling centre for Glasgow City Council.
