Islington seeks own chief after merger is dropped

Islington LBC has launched a search for its own chief executive, following aborted plans to merge the post with neighbouring Camden LBC.

With John Foster retiring this year, Islington is now looking for his successor to take on what the authority describes as ‘a challenge – but a rewarding one', managing a diverse London borough at a time of spending cuts, although no salary has been specified.
