Motorists in Islington will now find it easier to switch to electric vehicles, after the council installed charging points in the borough. The pilot scheme will cost electric vehicle owners £17 a year, plus a one-off, refundable deposit of £50 for the use of a cable. Lucy Watt, Islington LBC's executive member for environment, said: ‘We want to be able to support our residents who want a greener lifestyle in a real and practical way.'
