Nick Raynsford's suggestions in The MJ last week that the Localism Bill would be delayed from completion in July ‘until late autumn' caused much commotion at the DCLG, whose ministers vehemently denied that it was off course.

A reply was duly penned by John Howell, PPS to Greg Clark, but when it pinged into The MJ's mailbox, something appeared amiss.
