Jail closure opposed

Wellingborough BC has written to the justice secretary after council unanimously vote to reject the closure of Wellingborough Prison.

Wellingborough BC has written to justice secretary, Ken Clarke, after the full council unanimously voted to reject the decision to close Wellingborough Prison.

The council is calling for a parliamentary debate on the ‘fundamentally-flawed decision'.
