The annual Japan Day seminar takes place this year in Matlock, Derbyshire, with the theme of regeneration through partnerships on 18 November.

Speakers include minister Phil Hope; Derbyshire CC chief executive, Nick Hodgson; and Prof Robin Hambleton.

The event, at the county council's offices, is hosted by the Japan Local Government Centre, whose new director, Noboru Fujishima, is also speaking.
